Nix Camp

Nix Camp 2023 is a week long event from September 24th to October 1st. A time to come together and learn about Nix whilst living near to the Welsh/British countryside, surrounded by nature and friends. There are no formal talks, training sessions or workshops; though attendees are encouraged to give informal talks to eachother. A week of living, breathing, learning and sometimes sleeping with Nix.

This is the third Nix Camp.

Tickets/Booking

The Nix Camp dates are September 24th until October 1st. Tickets are priced at £200 per person. This covers accomodation and attendance.

Nix Camp is a 1 week long event. Depending on demand, this could increase to two weeks.

Since this third Nix Camp is expected to be close-knit, there is no automated booking system, we will be manually accounting and replying to individuals via email.

If you would like to participate in the third Nix Camp, please send us an email with the subject "Attending Nix Camp" at [email protected] with answers to the following questions:

  • What is your name? (Aliases are also accepted)
  • Do you want to use the on-site accommodation? Or will you find your own in the area?
  • What are your dietary preferences? (Vegan, Vegetarian, etc)
  • Do you want to give a talk? (If so, prepare one!)
  • Is there anything else you would like to know about the event, or for us to consider for the event?

  • Please, feel free to ask additional questions if you have them.

Our response will contain details for payment. Once recieved and reviewed, we will confirm your attendance and respond with a link to join our Matrix Room for onboarding.

Venue & Accommodation

Accommodation will be provided by the BOARC, an artistic research center that promotes creativity, collaboration and innovation located in Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside, England. Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre (BOARC) is a self-organising, communal study site. It is a not-for-profit project that focuses on providing individual users and groups with a low cost, temporary place to work and stay together; to develop projects that require time and space in a flexible, non-pressured environment.

Food and accommodation is offered on-site for the duration of the event this cost is included in the ticket price. There are many AirBNB and hotel offerings available in the surrounding area if this arrangement does not suit you.

Food will still be provided to those who choose not to stay overnight at the venue, as this cost is included in the ticket price.
